SpellStorm Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how SpellStorm ("we," "us," the "Game") collects, uses, and shares information when you play. By using SpellStorm you agree to this policy.

Information We Collect

Account information. When you create an account or sign in, we collect:

• Your email address (for email sign-in) or a provider identifier from Sign in with Apple or Google Sign-In. With Apple's Private Relay, we may only receive a relay email.
• A display name you choose (shown to other players on the leaderboard).
• A securely hashed password (only for email accounts — we never store your password in plain text).

You can also play as a Guest without an account; guest play is stored only on your device.

Gameplay data. To run the game and competitive features, we store on our servers: your trophies, rank, wins, games played, eliminations, experience points (XP), longest word, and similar match statistics tied to your account.

Purchase information. SpellStorm offers optional in-app purchases: Shard packs, the "Remove Ads" upgrade, and the extra spellbook slot upgrade. All transactions are processed by Apple through the App Store. Our server verifies Apple's signed receipt so it can credit what you bought to your account; we receive confirmation that the purchase was made but do not collect or store your payment details.

Advertising data. We show ads through Google AdMob. To do so, the Google Mobile Ads SDK may access your device's advertising identifier and related data to serve and measure ads. On first launch we ask for your permission via Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt; you can decline, and you can buy "Remove Ads" to turn ads off entirely.

Technical data. Like most online games, our servers process basic connection information (such as IP address) to operate matchmaking and prevent abuse.

How We Use Information

We use the information above to:

• Create and secure your account and let you sign in across devices.
• Run multiplayer matches, rankings, and leaderboards.
• Provide and measure advertising (unless you've removed ads).
• Verify and credit in-app purchases.
• Detect cheating, abuse, and technical problems, and improve the Game.

How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with service providers that help us run the Game:

• Apple — Sign in with Apple, App Store purchases, and app distribution.
• Google — Google Sign-In and AdMob advertising.
• Fly.io — cloud hosting for our game servers and database.

Your display name and rank are visible to other players on the in-game leaderboard.

We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users and the Game.

Data Retention and Your Choices

• We keep your account and gameplay data while your account is active.
• You may request access to or deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us at the email below, or by using the in-app account-deletion option where available.
• You can limit ad tracking through your device's Settings → Privacy & Security, and you can disable haptics and sound in the in-game settings.

Children's Privacy

SpellStorm is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the effective date above.
